FyndNPlay ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FyndNPlay mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.

Profile Information: You may optionally provide a nickname or avatar.

Activity Data: When you create or join activities, we collect details such as activity type, location, date/time, and participant information.

Location Data: We collect location data you provide when setting meeting points for activities. With your permission, the app also uses your device's current location to show nearby activities and to pre-fill meeting points. We do not track your location in the background.

Device and Diagnostic Data: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver them. When the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect a diagnostic report containing device model, operating system version, app version and the error details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To enable you to create, discover, and join activities
To send you account-related communications (verification emails, password resets)
To send you push notifications about activities you organise, join or follow (you can turn these off in your device settings)
To diagnose crashes and improve and maintain our services

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information in the following cases:

With other users: Your name, nickname, and avatar are visible to other participants in activities you join or create.
Service providers: We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host our services, store data and send email. We use Google for authentication, maps and push-notification delivery, and Sentry for crash reporting. These providers process data only on our behalf.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on AWS servers. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard encryption. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

Our app integrates with the following third-party services:

Google Sign-In: For authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Maps: For displaying activity locations. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: For delivering push notifications. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Sentry: For crash and error reporting. Subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy.

6. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can:

Update your profile information at any time through the app
Delete your account and all associated data instantly from the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account
Request deletion by email if you can no longer access the app. Full details, including exactly what is deleted and what may be retained, are on our account deletion page.
Opt out of push notifications in your device settings
Report content or behaviour that concerns you from any activity page or via Profile → Report a concern. Our Child Safety Standards describe how child-safety reports are handled.

7. Children's Privacy

FyndNPlay is intended for adults. Our services are not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete the account and its data. See our Child Safety Standards.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email.
